I would venture to guess that I know as much about the history of gun rights (and racist gun control) as anyone on this forum considering it is a pet interest of mine and my decade + involvement in politics and lobbying for work.

Honest question, what reaction would you expect to see then if it was a large black group? That line is always thrown about so casually with nothing to back it up. I agree that you don’t need to run around shoving guns in peoples’ faces, but I think that behavior has become much more common as the calls for gun control and confiscation have grown. If they don’t protest and make noise then there is no way to have a voice in the debate.

I obviously don’t know the situation, but my sister had pretty serious anxiety issues growing up and exercise and keeping a routine schedule were the best things (other than discussing potential stressors) that she discovered for helping with it. I know both of those can be difficult to come by…
