It sounds like they didn’t go to many classes, though. If she guessed her way through the SAT and then just accepted a 1550 score or something (I never took the SAT, it’s out of 1600, right?) then maybe they’re too stupid to know how stupid they are.

Fuck, a straight-up donation wasn’t enough to get the job done?

I seem to remember them shrieking about a kid who went to Hahvahd and got elected to some preznit’s job in 2008... 2009... 2o10... and so on and so forth.

I mean, I’m going to sound like an asshole here (days that end in -y), but it’s not like the SAT is even all that difficult or complex an examination in the first place. Both it and the ACT are literally testing the applicant’s ability to take a test—and baseline K-12 knowledge.

College admissions are openly corrupt; this case doesn’t even touch on the kind of routine, legalized fraud of rich people donating to a college in return for their child’s admission.

But affirmative action is the real problem, amirite?

With Lori Loughlin involved in this, I think it’s safe to say that this scandal is going to be everywhere you look.

In her case, it’s probably because she can make more money doing “influencer” sponcon stuff compared to going to school to get a degree for . . . something. I don’t blame her for not giving a shit.

I don't buy that the kids didn't know. I mean, wouldn't you realize you were totally out of your depth once you started taking classes at Stanford?
