now if the MCU could set up a coherent, overarching Phase 4 and 5 storyline we’d be all set.

The Defiant is awesome. I like how it was designed to help with the Borg, then it shows up on Deep Space nine not only as an example of what Starfleet can do, but kind of a hopeful look at what can happen when everyone collaborates. 1. Last season, I jumped the gun on “wow they’re spinning their wheels and they don’t have a clue” so i’m going to hold off on saying that now. But I’d be at this point right now.

I agree that this episode tried to put in a lot, to varying effect. I think we needed two episodes on this, to be honest with you. But I will say the “flashback sequence” is hands down one of the funniest jokes I’ve seen. 

I’m old enough to remember a week ago when the right tried to blame gun violence on video games and the left pushed back. 

Did the FBI release memos warning people to stay out of the theater? Were there countless thinkpieces asking why this movie needed to be released before the movie came out? Did io9 and the AV Club treat the movie like it murdered their parents in a dark alleyway when they were 7?

There was also Peppermint which showed Jennifer Garner Ramboing it up against a drug cartel that killed her daughter. 

I initially put in a joke because i don’t know what to say regarding this anymore. This really is an odd situation for me. Here we have a movie - that hasn’t been released yet - that’s had more written about it than probably all of the movies released this year.

Wait until some of these people find out about the last 80 years of Batman comics.

I try to combine my 7 deadly sins where possible. i’m currently enjoying Sloth and Gluttony, which I will refer to as “Sluttony.”

it’s because nothing can touch the Nicolas Cage versions. Bring back that. Just put it right in the MCU. I want to see him and Thor team up. 

I love Humble. The joy of Lonely island is that they’re a great music act, not just “they do funny raps.” Humble is a legit good song.

1. This was an amazing movie, and it’s just flat out hilarious. Andy Samberg plays everything so straight it’s amazing, and the reaction of everyone around him makes the movie.
