Reminds me of the DC/Marvel mashups back in the 90's. My favorite was still Iron Lantern.

The problem is that, as people smarter than me have pointed out, that Rotten Tomatoes is being misread all the time, and it’s sucking the nuance out of reviews.

Solo is disappointing by Star Wars standards. These movies are still making a billion dollars. They’re going to keep making these. Again: Maybe don’t release it in a crowded month when there’s still people being pulled away by Infinity War, Deadpool 2, and I Feel Pretty.*

That makes more sense. Still a little misleading when someone says, “We have a 92% score!”

The one near me did a “Captain America” marathon for the release of Civil War. Then they had to switch everything around because they couldn’t get one of the movies to play, and ended up putting in a DVD.

I’m guessing that the major downside is dealing with AMCs. Great if you love standing in line and taking that 50/50 guess if your movie will play correctly!

The whole critic system is broken, regardless. We run off for Rotten Tomato scores that generalize the nuance of critiques. We look for “audience scores” which can be swayed by things like how the film was marketed, or if they find something offensive. (Spoiler: They probably will.)

Take my star, dammit

I thought we all agreed to enjoy it, but then pretend it didn’t happen.

I see a lot of posts asking “what did this guy do to deserve this?”

I’m constantly in a state of wanting a cheeseburger. If you see me, and I’m not eating a cheeseburger, then know I’m not living up to the state of true happiness for me.

I’d buy four or five Siskos, so I could have one everywhere thats important to me.

I’m still a huge fan of Space Quest. (obviously).

Here’s hoping that Pixar learns from this and releases 8 more Cars movies before we get another Incredibles.

The obvious takeaway here is that people are very hungry for stories about the Parr family and it’s difficult to think that Disney isn’t looking at the movie’s performance and already dreaming up another incredible sequel.

I had a pretty bad reaction to the movie. Just before it started, though. I saw the Bao animated short and my eyes just started stinging and watering and I had an urge to call my mother and apologize to her for everything I’ve ever done wrong. Is that related?

The Incredibles was pure Anti-Cape propaganda.

I can’t imagine where he might get this information from what with the beeper at the end of the movie, the fact that it’s coming out a few months before Infinity War 2: The Search for Spock, or the countless interviews in which everyone has said, “Captain Marvel is going to be extremely important in Infinity War 2 and

I think this episode set up some interesting things. We’re definitely seeing a change in Serena, who may be seeing the error of her ways. The “pictures as schedule” thing was one of the show’s better, more subtle gut punches. (The show is great, but a lot of what they want to say is shouted pretty loudly.) That moment

Fair enough. That would explain a lot, actually.
