> The difference between fake and real Smash balls is that the real ones let you do a powerful special move, and the fake ones explode.

Wii U Smash was great, but I’m going to leave it in the mud the same way I did with Smash Project M, the same way I did with Smash Brawl, the same way I did with Smash Melee, the same way I did with Smash 64.

“Actually, we want the Melee community too.”

Better than brawl. Thats all the mattered.
Also, it was a pretty solid game, just nothing compared to melee or ultimate.

He can't calm down. It's the internet. Rage is a prerequisite

I literally just wrote this article to say “Hey, you can take a break from that game that is frustrating you or making you feel bad.”

i don’t think you understand dude.

Buying a game on launch day isn’t a “right”. He can simply wait.

That’s what I do, as a rule. I wait for the GOTY editions. By then I have read some reviews and I have second guessed my “oh my god, oh my god, I want to play this now, look how shiny!” impulses. Also, for half the price (or less) I get all the content.

Good strategy, and I hope you can maintain it. Yeah, Black Friday in particular is always a real test for me. That’s where the majority of my backlog comes from.

I limit my game purchases much more these days. I try to have no more than two active games and try to buy a new one only after beating one of the active two. Of course, crazy low deals happen and I get codes for games sometimes, so I break this rule often. But I’m trying!

Hey Zach, that’s really been working well for me tbh. It took me a while to learn that I don’t need to play games the nanosecond they come out. But once I did learn it, I haven’t really looked back. And with a backlog as large as mine, there’s always something to play!

If you feel like games are cheaper and better a year later, maybe stop buying them the day they come out?

Ditto, Ultimate is the objectively better Smash game. If people want to cling to their outdated game on outdated, obsolete hardware...go ahead. But Nintendo’s finally getting it right, and the newer game (and its far more diverse competitive scene) deserves to take over.

I also think this is a good thing. Melee was a fun game from years ago that we now see is severely broken. The players were all unbalanced and lighter players like Pichu and Kirby didn’t stand a chance they were so weak, they got little to no action because of it. Ultimate is pretty much the pinnacle of Smash Bros,

It will be mourned, but not by me.

Thanks to Smash and FE7, I really, really want Binding Blade released stateside. I might be a Roy Stan...

I just want to buy the GBA games on current platforms. I guess that's still too difficult a task for Nintendo.

Yeah, speaking as someone who got into the series with Blazing Sword and dived back into the SNES games afterward, I’m not really into the current direction of the series. Having something more like POR/RD would really go a long way.
