The action that led to his death was getting shot. Not her lying. Her dad bears the moral responsibility and the criminal responsibility.

When your dad is confronting your boyfriend in your room with a gun
I think she should be the ONLY one charged. I mean, she was the female in the room. Women should know that men are just sexually/violently charged creatures who require our honesty, integrity, and non-sluttiness at all times in order to be in control. The city should sue her for lying. Anytime women lie they should be…
I can't tell if you're being ironic. Ageism, like racism and sexism, means stereotyping and discriminating against groups or individuals based on their age (which, incidentally, usually is a lot more than Franco's 35). Where do you see stereotyping or discrimination against James Franco due to his age…
But there were men in it, so doesn't it automatically mean it is really about men? I mean, via lesbians (because they're just objects/props; can't be subjects). Even if it didn't have men it, the absence of men would mean it's really about men (because it's about women, who we know only exist for men). Or do you mean…
Well said. I want to book mark this comment. Also, this story is about a person's experience and talking about her own is inappropriate and serves to negate the original teller's voice. I don't know why it's so hard to listen to someone's story and just acknowledge that it happened, without jumping right in to tell…
She's super famous in the porn world, which is probably the most mainstream media we have besides ads (in terms of consumption), right? Haha - she also has an awesome blog: http://stoya.tumblr.com/
FUCK YES.
Add in that sexual harassment is one of the nearly monolithic experiences of being female and that people accept that fact, and it's not really that shocking that an experience that happens in every other realm of a woman's life would also carry over to her professional life.
Oh, I read the story as more of "it's part of a job" like you'll experience, rather than that you'll experience it and there's nothing you can do about it. Even though your boss (rightfully! Go him!) protected you after the fact, he couldn't change the reality that you'd face harassment.
Sadly, Most Teens Think Sexual Harassment Is Just Part of Any Job
I loved this piece about Amy Schumer and feminism in her show: http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/…. I think this sketch is the perfect example of how to use humor to skewer the status quo. Like finding the perfect rape joke that mocks rape culture instead of rape victims, this joke mocks the expectation of women as…
That sucks. I've never felt discriminated until I moved to [Los Angeles] and people are like, 'You're from The Bay? Ugh.'
Please point to a quote from any of my comments where I imply or explicitly say that the OP didn't write what is plainly readable on the screen. I'm not being facetious - I'm wondering where exactly you're misinterpreting my words.
She's using racially coded language. When people say, "Welfare queen", they don't explicitly say Black, but they know what you're imagining is a Black woman.
Colorado bro is the same way!
This really is...The American Dream. #proudamerican #blessed #heartbeats
You probably need to watch the video again - she's Black; apparently that's enough for the OP.
I WANT to keep reading the OP talk about "the type who cuts you off/cuts in front of you/whatever, and then doesn't feel one ounce of shame", "I used to live in a bad part of L.A.", and "I'm POSITIVE she was not an innocent flower"...but honestly could she save everyone some time and just say, "Black women offend me"?…
