The 340i gained a new engine over the 335i. It’s the B58 instead of N55. It also got a power gain of about 25hp. Seems like a legitimate reason to change names, to me.

As much shit as we give BMW for all their confusing names, I would definitely be interested in an M235i Gran Coupe. The 3er could be the high-tech plebe car, while the 2GC could be the sporty, less-techy choice.
Sorry. I’m on the outside looking in.
I can sort of understand why you wouldn’t be allowed to drive this on public roads, but why can’t you keep a private car for track use only? You can have a gun but not a 21 year old Nissan? Fuck that.
My fear of valets burns stronger than ever.
Why do I want such a shitty car? Not being sarcastic. These things are cool.
Estoril Blue is better than the shade they're using on the M2, as well.
“You can feel a little turbo lag down in the rev range, but it’s pretty smooth after that.”
I can barely stand the base iDrive screen on the lowest brightness setting at night. How are we going to deal with all these massive screens?
You should get a Nissan Pao next. They're only $7,000 or so, and what person owns an Aston Martin and a Nissan Pao? No one. You can be the first.
How do you like your 235? I find there are some weird BMW-isms like that button, also the incredibly cheap sun visors, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Yeah. It’s probably just software, since the car’s mic’d up for bluetooth. I’d be surprised if BMW saved the half cent for the wire.
I think of it more as a reminder of saved money. When has voice activated bluetooth ever worked? :)
Good call on the Trax. Completely forgot that existed.
Wow, my dog would never be late for soccer practice!
