Doubtful. Despite claims by the GOP faithful to the contrary; Democrats, by and large for the last 20 years have been pragmatists and have not gone full on tree-hugger. It’s the GOP and how in bed they are with old-energy that threaten long-term prosperity in these United States.

Because the Marines are a quick-deployment microcosm of the entire U.S. Armed Forces. We are, within hours notice able to deploy an air, ground and naval force to prosecute a target area, unsupported for 30 days thereafter. In addition; someone’s gotta look good... ;)

That was a hyper dumbed down helo insertion profile. In real life we’d be 100Kts on the DECK while jamming and popping flares / chaff. I always wondered why they never show a proper helo insertion in movies?
