If Jalops are the black sheep of the automotive world, then I'm a red sheep among black ones...I don't care for diesel. There, I said it, but I'll take a manual wagon any day.

They're already paid. It's called a scholarship. It doesn't matter how much the schools make on TV deals, the student athletes (and yes, they're students first) get thousands of dollars in scholarship money to attend the schools they play for.
Not sure if you're making fun, but one of the things that drew me in when I ordered my 2005 (damn, that was almost 10 years ago) was all the ways I could customize it.
Don't tell Travis you like the new Mini. It's not mini enough to be a Mini for him.
Are all rich people this batshit insane? Am I too sane to be rich?
Thank you for doing the research and not just parroting someone else's statement, Patrick.
Sweet Regal, bro!
I somewhat agree with your point as well. However, the entire MINI lineup is silly when you really think about it. To call out one model in particular is doubly silly. I've just grown tired of the whole mentality of, "ZOMG! That's not really a Mini, it's too big!" As an esteemed colleague of mine pointed out:
It didn't change for 40 years, but I would argue that it needed to. It needed to modernization (more than the little bit that it received). So, instead of 40 years of gradual evolution, it got a do-over at the hands of BMW. People complain about even the first generation of cars under BMW "aren't real Minis" and yet…
Trust me, I know where the name comes from. Since the brand was reborn in 2001, their hallmark has been fun-to-drive, premium small cars. Guess what? They're still small compared almost everything else on the road. Are their smaller cars? Yes, but who gives a fuck? None of the ones that are smaller are as fun to drive.
Travis, please STFU about these cars being "mini". It's a brand, not a description, and yet they're still some of the smallest cars on the road. It's time for you to get over it. BMW doesn't have a cash cow model that can use for amortization. They need to squeeze as much money out of each platform as they can.
Everyone please keep in mind that at Daytona Beach, you can drive on the beach. There, and just south at New Smyrna Beach, there is traffic not even 100 yards from the surf.
I just read that whole thing. You owe me ten minutes and 12 IQ points.
Makes me party!
Travis, if it makes you feel any better, I would have freaked out just like that.
Where'z da leik buton? I cant finde it!
I actually like this face and not in a "it's better than the last one" kind of way.
