Agreed, I was in the annoyed camp but when it became apparent he couldn’t connect to his best friends/those who died for him, it became sad. He truly did die in the cave, great line.

He won’t thats the point. Pretty sure its supposed to be sad because we want BRAN back, to do what we’d think Bran would do, but he can’t. He’s lived the memories of thousands of people. Its supposed to be tragic, and it is. I was annoyed to until his line about how he has the memories of so many people.

I didn’t really see it as he was doing it for his men, the only reason he rode towards Daenarys was because the battle was already lost. I think he was trying to save his sister from a future fight (still fairly selfless-ish, but is it loyalty to “love” or his queen?). I also don’t think the choice between redeeming

To swim. Not to float. Dude just came off a horse at speed. That kind of fall. I’ve seen it dosome damage. He’s not swimming across the surface of a controlled pool under observation.

I would take it even one step further, the tiny shred of survival meant getting to the scorpion... honor meant next to nothing about it. if he went for that bag of gold, he definitely would have gotten his head lopped off by the Dothraki chasing him.

My kids watch the show separately from me and when they both watched the Shireen episode, I had to leave the space where I could even hear the TV. It disturbed me to my core. I hope he gets his revenge. I hope that’s what it meant when she had to die there.

Yes he needs to get his vengeance and kill the red woman The lady Shireen must be avenged!

Bronn, bless his rogue heart, should have died. Jaime, however, still has an older sister to choke to death as Maggy the Frog predicted.

Arya being a skilled fighter is fine but that she’s up there with Brienne, cmon.

  • The gold is gone, right?

Did he really give up the gold? It seemed like less of a choice between money and loyalty and more of one between dying certainly out of greed and dying probably for the sake of honor (and maybe, just maybe, killing that big winged A-bomb).

Because it’s called “the scorpion” and seems right up Qyburn’s alley.

Fuck the gold hand. Dudes wearing alot of armor. What does the hand weigh? Maybe like 5 lbs (it’s probably not solid a 30lb hand is impractical). A full set of plate can weigh 100lbs. His seems to have a lot of leather and only a few fully metal pieces. But your still talking like 30 or 40lbs of dead weight

Sweet Jesus, all I could think was “If they kill Bronn, I’m done.” (I’m not done. I’m here to the bitter end.)

Yeah it seems the biggest weakness of S6-8 could be that without Martin’s brutal plotting the show seems to be going Walking Dead on us with characters of note no longer being offed because of the star power.

Perhaps Bran withheld his info knowing that it wasnt time yet. If he does it too early Arya storms off and cuts a motherfucker.

They stated the gold made it to Kings Landing.

A few musings:

For knowing everything, he sure does a lot of nothing. Impotent Omnipotence.

Exactly this. I was grooving until that lame jump out of harm’s way. I was further annoyed by Jaime’s invincible plot armor. However, it was still a kick-ass episode. So gratifying to see the charge of the Dothraki and to see Drogon lay down the dragonfire!
