The same! Although... is it better to be eaten by a gazebo than a grue?

That’s a fair point. Personally I find that film kind of mediocre, but I know that my opinion isn’t necessarily the majority. If the new Ghostbusters film is as good as that one, that’s still a win.

(laughs) Imagine being so sure your correction to my correction was correct, that you decided to be condescending about it... only for you to be wrong!

Yep. To the remake’s credit, that is a solid casting choice. I never would have thought of Sam Rockwell and Craig T. Nelson being similar in any way, but they both have a earthiness to them that the role definitely requires.

Yeah, there’s a reason that exactly zero buzz happened with this movie. It’s not even interesting-bad, just... blandly unnecessary.

As blandly unnecessary as you’d fear. Sam Rockwell was good in it, but isn’t he always?

Oh, goodness, you’re right. That’s a good one! I am very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very

Kenan, whose previous directorial credits include Monster House and the 2015 Poltergeist remake

It’s funny because both of them were only in that movie thanks to coercion!

Well, this is flat outta left field.

Thank you for pointing out that website’s existence.

It’s spelled “canon,” and frustratingly, no, they haven’t.

Ever since this film, she is my definitive version of Aunt May. (Though, I was always sad Happy Gilmore’s grandma never got to play the part)

A mimic is definitely at its best when it’s disguised as a gazebo.

It captures the vibe of pretty much all of my favorite D&D game sessions, that’s for sure.

Which I’m so happy is the angle they decided on. The world already has enough portentous, overly-serious high fantasy series trying to out-saga The Lord of the Rings. D&D should never be that, because all of the best game sessions are just people riffing with each other.

I look forward to Kate Dickie (don’t know why the article spelled her name wrong) once again doing a creepy breast-feeding bit in a Disney+ show. If I had a nickel for every time she’s played a part that’s done that, I’d... have two nickels, but it’s still weird it’s happened twice.

Yeah, the kind of transhumanism you get in cyberpunk stories like GitS is gonna involve casually crossing some racial lines. Altered Carbon did the same thing. It’s fine.

Would love to see Rahul Kohli and Henry Cavill stream a Warhammer game against each other.

I appreciate you! This world has a tendency to be a rock tumbler toward people with snappy personalities, so keep those edges sharp. I enjoy your wit.
