I do leasing consulting for a living, and 9 times out of 10, a long stay hotel is cheaper than a 1-3 month lease. Once you factor in furniture, parking, other utilities, etc.... being in a hotel makes a lot of sense. That said, it ain’t cheap.

If you pay for a used car in cash, every month you don’t have a car payment, non-existent car payment could be budgeted for repairs. My car loans are $1500 a month. I don’t know of any used car that is gonna cost me that much every month for the next 48 months.
