1st gear: I know for a time the rental car companies were wreaking havoc on the used car market because they were snapping up all kinds of stuff due to the lack of availability of fleet vehicles (chip shortage), and the fact that they’d all sold their inventory when the first lockdown happened.

This is not news, though the accounting firm KPMG said in a new report that prices have gotten so far out of whack that negative equity is now an issue, and likely will be in the future, too. Basically, if you took out a loan to buy a used car in the past year or so, you might owe more than your car is worth.

Based on my limited knowledge, this is exactly how these types of viruses work for the most part. They don’t want to kill their host, because that means they too will also die.  (i’m not sure how stuff like Ebola works, but it’s clearly on a different plane given it’s mortality rate, etc)

So the cost of a typical consumer email list is $300-$400 per thousand. I’m guessing that they are expecting to collect significantly more contacts information than the 18,000 “winners”. The outlay in “digital rewards” for this program is $360,000, so if they were paying $400 per thousand, they’d need to collect…

This is totally where most people get tripped up. The money is completely clean! Then they get caught because they’re just using the money straight out of the baskets that are sitting in the livingroom, instead of folding it and putting it away...
