I wonder if anyone has looked into a completely self sufficient charging station. Would be great for the desert. Basically a bunch of solar arrays and a shit ton of batteries. You wouldn’t really need to staff it, and you could drop them in places that were too far from the grid to bring power to.
I think the guzzler tax is for new vehicles that have an EPA estimate MPG in that range. I think(hope)you’d be safe.

Because while redundancy is definitely key, you have to think that if my car is having a problem (i.e. a sensor(s) goes kaput, tire goes flat, etc .etc.) giving the OTHER…
