I feel like we’ve exited the “one team, one dream” phase of the pandemic, and we’ve reached the “calling the cops to report people who are not following social distancing guidelines” phase.
Makes you wonder why you’d want people in leadership positions who understand the concept of “public service” rather than people who likely haven’t done anything for anyone other than themselves in their whole life.
The problem we’re having is keeping the kids under control. They’re a little too young to regulate themselves at all, and with being cooped up, they are just building this reservoir of GO!
Signing up for a 4-7(!) year financial commitment while we’re at the very beginning of what will likely be a long period of economic uncertainty doesn’t seem like the best choice, despite whatever the incentives are.
I’ve been seeing a lot of these messages on FB and Twitter about the WIC thing. Honestly, I’m not sure why the program can’t significantly but temporarily ease the restrictions on what can be bought via WIC at this time.
