Am I just grumpy and jaded or does all of this type of music sound the same?

That suit induced a seizure...

Oh, it’s not a bad thing, but it’s not really a “book store.” It’s a entertainment store. Have you been into a Barnes and Noble lately? 3/4 of the store is stuff that’s not books.

“What Happens When a President Declares a National Emergency?”

1) Go on TV and say “I didn’t want to do it, but Congress didn’t give me what I wanted” in front of the press.
2) Fly to your golf resort a few hours later.
3) Order an omelette from the resort omelette bar.

You’d think the Japanese would be better at blurring out genitals since they’ve had so much practice at it.*

Apparently the secret to running a bookstore is to sell 20% books, and the rest of it needs to be pop-culture figures/posters/toys, coffee, new-age medicine, games, and vintage candy. At least that’s what every small bookstore around here has become.

One of them is even holding a tabletop gaming night once a week...

It is just me, or does anyone else just LOVE the front end look of 80's BMW and Audi’s? That black flat grille and extended bumper just say “sporty and European” to me. Wish they’d bring that look back.

We owned a few big cars like this in the 70's and 80's. We had a ‘78 Thunderbird, an 82' Cadillac Brougham, a 72 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme...these cars looked awesome and everything, but few people realized how INCREDIBLY HUGE AND LUMBERING they are. They had enough room to fit 7-8 people inside (+4 in the trunk for

Avoiding first model year cars just comes down to logic- the cars haven’t been built before, so there’s a learning curve, machine adjustments, part flaws that will be uncovered, and reliability issues that will show their heads. They usually don’t get things right until the 3rd year of the model.

I was just talking about this the other day. Since the mid-2000s, car prices vs average income have skyrocketed, and car manufacturers are getting around this by creating 72, 84, and even 96 month loans. Imagine having to make payments on a car for nearly a decade!!!!! Obviously this never happens, and the owner

I’m going to make a suggestion here, and this is why I hate the media reporting study results.

Studies just display a pattern. Usually a single pattern. Patterns are one step of the scientific process, and nowhere near “correlation.” The pattern they saw in this study shows people that drink diet drinks have bad stuff

It’s the American way...

Interesting. I have a Mini Cooper S and it eats oil like crazy due to its funky direct injection design. Might give this stuff a try.

You’re basically saying “I’m proud of the fact that my employer is too cheap to higher the proper amount of workforce.”

I’m a former chef and have pretty high standards (not pretentious standards...I just demand things be cooked correctly). It’s amazing what managers will let come out of kitchens that should NEVER be served. I see margarita pizzas with raw dough in the middle, chicken breasts that look like they’ve been boiled instead

The acid in the boiling water is interesting. I just posted the method we used to do in a restaurant and this is the same concept. Will need to see what the acidity does.

Neigh...it is not available.

Duck fat as great with potatoes, but it’s expensive. Beef tallow is a great substitute.

I used to make fries at an upscale hotel restaurant and it’s a process I still use today because it makes a fantastic fry:

- We had a special tool for this, but you can use an apple corer to core out a large Russet potato. You want
