Well, I just wrote it down, Underscored6.

There once was a soccer game hosted by Steve Zakuani

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I mean, thank you for proving my point? If vague gestures at a market-based welfare state are going to push Democrats right down the slippery slope into an equation with COMINTERN in the minds of American voters like you, then the left really doesn’t stand a chance.

There is, believe it or not, a middle ground between

Jesus, libertarians like you are going to get us all killed. Go ahead and keep not voting Democrat because Socialism!, and watch the Trumpists create a one-party state because the left couldn’t unify to resist it.

It’s pretty fitting that an angry old white man from Wisconsin suing for the right to be kind of a jerk is the closest 2017 has come to a public representation of Santa.

Certainly the opposite of a roundheaded approach, no question.

Yeah — it’s not like Wiggins has been setting the league on fire.

Counterpoint: she still likes him anyway. And everyone knows you don’t have to listen to people you like anyway.

With respect, you only think this because you’re a sportswriter. As a Milwaukee Bucks fan, this was a great season. It would have sucked if Giannis had jumped to the first superteam to offer him 200 million. And I certainly would not have followed the NBA as closely if the Bucks were terrible.

Not exactly disputing this, but “powerful woman should give up her spot to someone else!” is not an argument I’m instinctively sympathetic to at this point in American history.

IMHO, the real problem is in the states. The major Republican candidates weren’t from the house — they were mostly governors with a few

On the other hand, the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead.

I would sort of like to read a study on why people watch basketball. I bet “since either team might win, it’s exciting!” is not actually very high on the list of reasons. I love watching my teams win blowouts.

Yeah. For better and worse, the most influential sportswriter (and I do mean writer, as opposed to TV/media personality) of the last generation. Too bad he sucks now.

Sorry man, I just read through this whole thread. Danth strikes again.

I assume from the F-bomb this post is more about moral condemnation than discussion; if so, point heard.

But if you’re interested in the substantive point, I think there’s a useful distinction to be made between people who sincerely hold racists beliefs and people who are willing to use them. The latter is if anything

See, and I think he’s not actually even racist. He’s just willing to pretend to be racist because he doesn’t care about anything. This whole last year has been a lesson in how tolerating bigotry is really worse than the bigotry itself.

So, due respect, but as a Bucks fan I’m enjoying parity kind of a lot. This was the most exciting season in fifteen years.

Wait, another war between the Turks and Greeks was fought with Italian and Macedonian mercenaries? Jesus, history, get some new songs.

I’m into moral philosophy and think it’s more important than the left sometimes suggests, but man. Why does it seem like the only people who use phrases like “strength of character” are those who utterly lack it?
