Orrrr I’m not really down with people actively misleading others and this post is basically continuing the nonsense claim that Kondo’s method is minimalism when it literally isn’t. I prefer telling the truth to telling exaggerated lies.

No one needs a $24 scrub brush for pots and pans. The KonMari Method isn’t about needing stuff, it’s about being mindful of the stuff you buy and have and whether or not it works for you.
If accurately summarizing her method instead of mischaracterizing it means I’ve drunk the Kool Aid, then sure. 🙄
there’s a bunny too!
This is a really, really cynical article that also misrepresents what Marie Kondo said. She didn’t tell people to get rid of everything, or even most things. She doesn’t want everyone to have a minimalist life with only a handful of possessions. She just wants people to be mindful or whether or they ACTUALLY want…
Well yes I do in fact need this, thank you Marie <3
Mari Kondo has built an empire convincing people that they could be happier if they just get rid of nearly everything in their homes by emotionally recognizing the value of the item, thanking it, and letting it go on to some other life.
I found them so quickly dude - they all call it for what it is, designed to get people’s ire up - far from an exposition of mental health and class division. The writer of this piece even goes into the controversy from the beginning and comes to one conclusion - this is not art, it’s not designed to do anything other…
It *wants* to be about mental health and class struggle, but botches the job so incredibly that it actually requires the main character to come out and speak the thesis statement of the film near the end, because actually portraying it cinematically is too challenging, apparently.
Yeah no, you’re literally just reading sources that justify this trash media designed to make sad white dudes feel “seen”. Literally everyone else sees it for what it is - unnecessary, extremist, and apologist.
People do not need to let that stat go. It’s indicative of the priorities of the majority of white voting women in this country. I say this as a white woman.
Every single white woman that reads Jez knows at least one white woman/person that voted for trump. Some of y’all are even related to trump voters. Sit with that knowledge. And when the 53% stat is thrown at you, reach out to that trump voter you know and ask what’s good?
As a white woman, let me just say... shut up. Really.
So calling someone out on inappropriate behavior and reporting practices is shitting on them? She messed up, she’s being called on it, race was an important issue in the original conversation. This is literally the story. They were supposed to, what, just not report the story?
Ya’ know *come closer*...it’s not always about YOU!
LOL, ok champ 👍🏼
But here’s speculation that this kid was calling and harassing another student by calling him racial slurs. The bullies were the kids that decided to stick up for the other boy. I am going to assume that the bullies’ parents will speak up soon.
At the risk of sounding like an insensitive jerk....
So now the original story comes into question. After all, one mans bullying is another mans “not letting a racist get away with saying shit to you.”
That’s another thing....the principal said that it wasn’t rampant bullying like the video would lead you to believe. But I don’t discount the bullying..I’m wondering abt their motives behind the video.
