Mainly White, some black people don’t get the shock, outrage, betrayal, wtf that black people have every right to feel when someone LIES about being black and is all up (front and center) in your causes. Like, it’s allowed. She reduced being black to wigs, and spray tan. Who knew it was so simple?!

Dude, I live on the West Side of Chicago. Next.

Nope, he’s right. Cops in Chicago live on the borders of the city, no where near black neighborhoods. Lots of research shows that police behave different towards populations that they live among and know...

That’s something you say when you’re not being judged based on where you live. Bad kids can be found anywhere in this country. Many of those bad kids, mostly white, are able to grown up and become pretty much anything. I don’t buy that “some” cops are bad, but “most” are good, whatever that means. Those cops that know

Thanks. I had no idea. Will look into this. I have multiple food allergies, including wheat, and recently diagnosed with Hashimotos.

We need to start tracking police who engage in or allow racially biased policing and abuse. This guy will just show up some place with the same beliefs and practices. The Tamir Rice case shows we need to do a better job of tracking people so they don't go somewhere else and kill an unarmed black kid.

This is really about her environment, specifically parents, though, right? I mean, no one in her life has exposed her to American History that isn't written from a majority white perspective. My child has to know the history from the perspective of people of color so that when he grows up, and runs into this young

You don't think TMZ would pay off a hospital employee to get these details? It's better the family just say what they want and need. As previous posters have stated, if she is brain dead, she is gone. This is about her family members still alive.

I would contribute to a gofundme to cover his fines.

Ahmad Rashad is her 3rd husband? Ever since these allegations started, I can't stop thinking about their cuddles in TV bed. I wonder if she has PTSD.

Looks like we have a bear down...

I was attempting to show what was behind the current attention on black people and how it really doesn't mean anything because society doesn't acknowledge black significance, unless it's entertainment. But I became overwhelmed by the events behind the protests and tried to appeal to your humanity.

You are mistaken. Certainly, if it werent, we wouldn't have conditions in Ferguson and elsewhere that lead to this. If youre genuine about understanding, you may want to not react based on your perception of what is happening. Attention=/=justice for unarmed black men, children gunned down. Death can happen at any

Perhaps, but white supremacy is responsible for oppression that I, as a POC, do not have the authority or support to implement over any white person.

In the US, the focus, attention, everything is already on white people. I would be much more impressed, and willing to listen to a good white person who let's the people they "help" have the ALL the attention, while they are in the background (damn near invisible). That's an ally.

But if you are speaking about your work, as if it is something that is noteworthy, that is seeking a sort of prize. And that will get you told to have a seat. Because either you're doing it because you believe it's right, or you're doing it because you're seeking some validation from something other than the act

But why do they want acknowledgement for doing the right thing? I mean, it's the right thing, you believe in it, just do it. It's like a co-worker of mine who was telling me about a church who decided to stay in a southern suburb of Chicago, and not flee when it became a majority Black suburb. Seriously?

How about we're not going to use that racist language to insult, disrespect, disparage the President of the United States?!

Is this going to be updated to note the videographer's racial bias? Street harassment is real, and comes with dangerous consequences for victims. But harassers are certainly not limited to one racial group. http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_facto…

But the cdc and other scientists who work with viruses for a living say all of this is overblown. I am acknowledging my minimal science understanding, and will defer to people who do this on a daily basis, including this nurse. I agree that we should apply what this nurse calls evidence based policy, not attention
