Completely off-topic but that lip colour is to die on her (rip Milihellen)

Reproductive coercion is a form of abuse, period, and the show didn’t treat it as abuse. The surprise anal sex attempt is somewhat rapey, and more serious than the show treated it. Also, remember when Danny secretly set up a nanny cam to watch Mindy? Taken together, it paints a more grim picture of Danny than the show

I thought that was #WEARMINDY at first and yes, I also want to wear everything she wears on the show.

There are so many times Mindy said exactly what I wanted to say to someone.

PREACH.

Yeah those aren’t cool. But I do get the sense that she paints as someone who is very sure in his ways and wants to make Mindy better, I think he even says it in one of the episodes. Like, the end goal, he wants her to be happy and he thinks she’ll be happier if she just goes his way, but that is his flaw in the end.

Unpopular opinion perhaps: I’ve never liked Danny. NEVER. Could not understand why Mindy fell for him. He’s never liked her, and now that the his lust and need to win her are relaxing, the douchecanoe he’s always been and the contempt he has for her are on full display. It’s super close to IRL situations I’ve

I’m somewhat disappointed that this didn’t include some clear themes of this season. I feel like we’re beating around the bush here by not naming Danny’s behavior for what it is. It’s not simply controlling—it is emotionally abusive and manipulative. Tracking her ovulation cycle in order to impregnate her even after

I feel everything was like weirdly out of character for Danny this season. He’s super Catholic, BUT it takes him like a million years of gut wrenching soul searching to propose to his pregnant girlfriend who obviously wants to get married. THEN he wants them to have a second kid before the wedding? What? And despite

The best thing about The Mindy Project, despite the spotty pacing and structure are the AMAZING one liners.

Kaling has made comments recently about how her hope for the evolution of the show was to go through what it’s like when you get what you always wanted on paper (hot fiance, adorable kid, awesome career) but the reality is much messier. Basically: what happens after the credits roll in a romcom? And because Mindy

Remember when he attempted anal by surprise b/c he lacked the capacity to just, you know, ask if she was into it?

I think the difference between Danny and all of Mindy’s other major love interests is that they loved her for exactly who she is: flighty, self absorbed, but very smart. Danny, however, since Day 1 has openly wanted her to be somethin different. And I can relate to finding that (in a sick way) attractive and feeling

Ugh, the reproductive coercion was the WORST. Like, Danny is such a garbage person this season, and I really hope Mindy moves out and on with her life.

This episode and “Stay at Home MILF” were two of the best sitcom episodes I have EVER seen. Both are full on attacks on women’s place in the world right now, and it is just so fresh and amazing and relieving and inspiring to see it on such a large platform as The Mindy Project.

Danny has been the worst since the beginning, and has somehow gotten event worst-er. After the last few weeks it looked like Mindy might leave him, but that’s such an unusual event for a tv show that I wasn’t sure it could happen. I really hope it stays this way.

...But they didn’t. They showed Mindy struggle while gradually coming to terms with the fact that she was in love with a man who was on such a different page from her. You don’t wake up one morning after starting a life with someone and having a kid with them and suddenly realize they’re terribly wrong for you.

I’ve loved this show from the beginning, but kind of fell off this fall. I got sick of the Jody/Jody’s sister nonsense and couldn’t make myself watch it. I need to get back on the wagon, obviously.

Last time I had an IT issue the guy asked if I had turned my machine off and then on. I totally spaced that this was the first trick I could try. It worked and we laughed after I told him about this...
