The mini versions are $25, that’s what I had when I was a (poor) kid. And the books are in every public library and school library in the US, I’d wager. It sucks that the big dolls are so much more but it’s still possible to be into the whole American Girl thing if you don’t have money.

I don’t think the physical resemblance is that strong but in terms of her ability to play that role, I think she is one of the best possible choices.
