Sounds like you didn’t buy enough beer
Irrespective of your lack of grasp on the whole of “this sort of literature” this is just a longer version of “won’t someone think of the white lady.”
Just hilarious to me we’re talking about writing fully-developed colonialists in Indian cinema. Compare that to the legacy of: black, yellow, and brown face + flat POC characters, appropriation, white washing, ad infinitum until the end of time in the West
won’t someone think of the white woman??!

I’m trying to see the forest from the trees in terms of internal hypocrisies vs. actual social goals. Thanks.
There is a subset of younger women whose movement goals are shifting cultural paradigms along these lines. They aren’t arguing against the legality of access to safe abortions - but are arguing that an enlightened culture ‘of life’ will dissuade women from abortion, and that that should be a goal of society. There are…
What if they follow all of this criteria?
OK but then what - what if both the animal rights activists and the actual pro-life (not just pro-birth) activists are on the right track..?
I’m all for elevating the voices of those women who at least have a logically consistent worldview on resources, funding, and health care to support a culture of life, and drowning out pro-birth Judeo-Christian moralists.
At least she voted for Hillary, though - right?
I respectfully disagree. I think it captures the sentiments of many women, particularly young women who want social programs and infrastructure to empower mothers.
Or like lost grrl wrote: “The old saying is that abortions should be safe, legal and RARE” - put that on the picket signs
I think that could be amplified more to bring in women who ascribe human rights and or religious significance to fetuses a la “one of the primary goals of the pro Choice movement is to reduce abortions”
Right - I mean framing those programs and policies with a more explicit goal of reducing abortions
