I’m talking about a particular value judgment - not value judgments in general; if it is a noble goal which many people for different reasons agree with, maybe we could advance this goal more prominently on our agendas.

Or to put it another way - why is it a noble goal?

“Wanting to reduce the number of abortions that are necessary is a totally noble goal that I would think most pro-choice people support.” - that’s really my question - is that a goal of feminists, or is that a value judgement which is inherently antifeminist?

No I’m not talking about qualifying conditions - I mean is it OK as a general society or policy goal to reduce abortions (through public health campaigns, resources, education and advocating for cultural changes) or is that antifeminist.

I’m trying to figure out how to articulate a worldview in which abortion should be legal and safe but is a last resort/not a good outcome (the implications of this world view is that policy goals should be framed around decreasing abortions)- but I am trying to figure out if that puts me at odds with feminism

There are women like that; how should they frame their platform?

There are many women, particularly young women, who hold this point of view. The question is reframed then as: should society’s goal be to reduce abortions?
