I think the abundance of Jedi related media also makes people scoff when they try to spin the jedi as an obscure myth in the sequel trilogy. I buy it conceptually, that 10,000 jedi in a whole galaxy is a small number,, but when im seeing jedi constantly, it makes it harder to suspend disbelief.

I can’t think of the cactaurs without thinking of “The Bouncer.”

I completely agree it’s BS and why I would never kickstart something now unless i just wanted to give away money. Now that kickstarter is a proven model for establishing deeper funding pretty much every game with commercial ambition launched on it has an incentive to do what Shemue 3 is doing right now. Sad fact is

Not wanting to be used as a pawn between a business pissing contest doesn’t necessarily make someone a Steam loyalist. I’m also not interested in supporting anti-consumer business practices.  If the Epic store wants to compete, offer us a better store - not a hostage.

Speaking as an explorer whose caved in the belly of his ship on more than one landing on a high gravity planet, you’re doing the far god’s work. o7

If you actually read the full story from NJ.com and not the sparknotes version here, the coaches were arguing with the ref for awhile until the ref threatened them and started the clock and the kid decided to cut them so he could compete.

Yes, exactly. I can understand why some devs are salivating at the thought of a fresh, new store that doesn’t have many games on it yet. But that’s not a state of affairs that can or will last. And so long as Epic is in “curation” mode, the only devs who will benefit from the storefront’s “gold rush” period will be

That’s okay Jace. You can have your exclusivity and I won’t jump on yet-another-launcher / yet-another-store. I wish your company luck.

Two Guild Wars 2 narrative designers, Jessica Price and Peter Fries, were fired after Jessica attacked a well-established community member for asking a questions, shouted sexism, and refused to back down. This led people to dig into her Twitter page and realize she frequently posts opinions that ArenaNet does not

I’d rather play 50 more games in a row with a modern setting. Personal preference and all that.

Agree with your post. Just want to add that “whales” have typically been described when talking about monetizing freemium gaming (aka Candy Crush, Clash of Clans, etc.). Obviously Battlefront 2 is not freemium gaming. EA wants to have its cake and eat it too

It’s a little weird to come across this stuff, but my attitude is live and let live. It’s not hurting me and there are way weirder, more harmful things people can get up to in life. People have urges by nature, and this is a harmless outlet for them.

Hi,

Bingo. Of course the posts about DDoS will get a hundred times more upvotes than you (even though you’re far more likely to be correct) because everybody thinks everything is DDoS.

Yep. If there’s anything I have to say about modern finance interfaces, it’s that the vast majority of them are unreadable as all hell. The data itself is fine; it just desperately needs to be presented in a way that actually makes flippin’ sense to the average human being, rather than like someone just Frankenstein’d

6. Clear your inventory OUTSIDE so people can continue killing while you're in the menu.

I must have been one of the only ones that preferred pre-ARR XIV.

And I'm still confused. Yeah, some shitty things happened, but people always seem to let that overshadowed some of the good things they've done too.

It's irrelevant because GTAO segregates people based on aim mode. Whatever aim mode you were using last in SP is the mode you are locked in when you switch to GTAO and you will only be put into lobbies with other people using that aim mode. There are a couple exceptions like joining a friend or crew session with mixed
