The only bits that aren't advertising is the Play FIFA box (as that is the disc in the drive, assumed at least), and the two system boxes.

I see six advertisements on that screen.

Some had, so it stands to reason having it available for people who want to jump in as if they were a kickstarter backer. If you aren't interested in doing so, waiting is an option.

Question is, did that dude even buy into it, or is he just assuming based on the Alpha tag?

The scope is what really got me, though I do have to admit I stepped in to the series with it's pseudo-cousin Supreme Commander. I also really like the economy. Rather than a "Save up then build" system, it's based on rate. You have a very limited amount of storage, so if your storage is full and you're still

Or, you don't be a jerk, wait till retail release and pay $40 for the final game after all it's QA is done.

What.. basing looks on a pre-alpha design? Sure...

People asked for Alpha access after Kickstarter closed. Yes, they had UberNet to back that, but considering they intend a Steam-heavy release in December, testing for steamworks back-end will be important too.

I have to admit.. I went ahead and bought a piece of something. I don't expect it to make a week beyond when it ships, but.. eh.

Don't make them exclusives then. Let more people enjoy the games.

What of private sales? I've had a significant number of purchases from my friends simply because they didn't like the game. (I've done this wit SPORE for example, a PC title FFS.)

However, if your game is sold off as used, wouldn't that mean that the market is rejecting your $60 price point?

When it shouldn't be. :P

I really do think Ubisoft has a lot going for them in the next year.

Probably. I also had $70 tied up in Crysta for the monthly subscription.

... why did I just pre-order FFXIV ARR CE when I own the original CE (physical copy)?

I was agreeing with you, lazily.

There are unique experiences on the consoles, which is reason enough to invest in a PS4.

Can we stop with the exclusives arguments guys? Seriously, as far as we're concerned, any exclusive is one too many. Games should be played by as wide an audience as possible that has an interest in it, supporting console exclusives only tells people it's okay to bar experience because they didn't buy the "right"
