Distributed computing for video games is pretty much a lie when it comes to current markets. EA tried to pull that stunt with SimCity, only for it to leak that it wasn't actually computing anything that couldn't be done locally (faster and cheaper on resources too!).

X1 in writing and in conversation.

That's done pretty well. I'm honestly surprised by how it turned out.

The ESRB already spends a good deal of money trying to educate parents on how to properly evaluate video games for their kids. How is the state going to do any better? It's not about lack of information being available, it's the fact that parents don't care, and when something does happen, they use a scapegoat.

As much as I want to buy the re-releases, the lack of support for VII (the cloud saving is /STILL/ broken) along with the old limited activations and limited download window means I won't be willing to buy this one if it were to come to the US.

At the cost of having it all farmed out in a way that anyone and everyone can track you with it. I hate having my real name associated with online accounts with the exception of billing because frankly they don't need it and I'm not willing to give it.

I'd rather not have Google+ be a requirement for ALL THE THINGS anyway. Facebook tried that and I've resisted that so far.

But, to us, there’s a very big difference between a player being disrespectful to an opponent in a ladder match, and a player being disrespectful to the entire community of people who, via their own enthusiasm and passion for the entertainment product he creates, actually make his profession possible.

The digital story is particularly strong – nearly 50 percent of those sales were high-margin digital downloads.

Usually you'd have to find someone who's already at Dreamhost to find you a deal (which usually consists of the person you're talking to cutting their referral reward in order to give you the discount.) This one's pretty big though.

Uh-oh! It looks like in your effort to find the drones you were looking for, you let them get away! Darth Vader isn't happy with you, and has ordered you to report to the detention level!

I've always liked Dreamhost. They've always been great to me.

Yeah, this video didn't really get me. It seemed like a bunch of people whining more than anything else. Well.. hopefully there'll be a better trailer down the line.

A lawyer turns around and denies the lawsuit? No way! This is just a step forward in the process. I think if anything the thing to take away form this is that SEGA is at least acknowledging it.

It's something that a lot of new developers are hopefully figuring out.

When you have 30+ machines to do that for, it's not just as simple as "letting it run once".

I am so tired of Team Fortress 2 locking up my machines at work. This 20-minute thing? Totally stupid.
