Welcome Back Otter

Yeah, I remember his early appearances being a bit more British, I think they later made him Australian officially. But you’re right they don’t know much about Australia. I recall Logan referring to Gateway in one comic using a term no Australian would EVER use for an indigenous person (unless they were racist).

Didn’t they also retcon Wolverine in the comics so he’s not Canadian any more?

As an Australian, I’m still waiting for Gateway to show up in an X-Men movie. Particularly since they changed Pyro into a Yank.

In the sequel, they reveal the zombie virus was created from a mutated strain of CancerAIDS.

Yes, I think the action scenes in most Marvel movies are largely forgettable. Despite the success, there’s nothing in any of the to rival the best work of Spielberg’s action, for example. I probably couldn’t describe a single action scene from the MCU apart from the two standouts in Winter Soldier: the elevator fight

It really is. I saw it a few years before The Departed came out. One of the worst changes was making Matt Damon’s character outright evil, unlike the original where he was far more conflicted and interesting as a character.

Challenge accepted!

I predict in 20 years’ time we’ll see an Oscar-nominated movie called “I, Jussie”.

Iannucci’s track record is phenomenal. Even without the acting talent named I’d be down for this.

Not just celebs.

I actually preferred the remix. The longer episodes in the original dragged on and the remix felt snappier and more in tune with earlier seasons.

Why did they design him with massive bags under his eyes? To give the impression he hadn’t slept for days?

I recall the Splits being the worst part of the show.

There was an outlet - hand-written letters! It’s how the original Star Trek got a third season.

May have been the threat of legal action. Some smaller publications can’t afford a defamation payout and the allegations may have been hard to prove at the time.

Finally, the Storyteller origin story the world’s been crying out for!

I don’t know the actor’s name, but one of his few lines was one of the most memorable of the 90s: The O face.

Do regret loving it because you’re now living in it?

Wasn’t the rumour that Rupert Murdoch hated its depiction of the Fox-like news so much that he pulled marketing support for it?

Pertwee doing his best Tom Baker right there.
