I also think Top Gear should be passed down from host to host (The old Top Gear turned into this Top Gear) and have the next set of hosts be Matt Farah, Chris Harris, and Rutledge Wood (or Mike Musto). Come to think of it, I just want /Drive to have a a Top Gear like format.

it seems there were a ton of those concepts in the late 80s and early 90s which then became much less fun and more boring production cars. One that stands out (that actually made it to production largely unmolested) is the Isuzu VehiCROSS although I think it is a little too off road capable.

You're imagining a world where everyone lives in dense areas which, sadly, not always the case.

I think that's wrong. People are already starting to buy semi-autonomous cars now. While I agree that at some point we'll see driverless cars merging with an Uber-like space, there's no reason to believe people won't be buying their own autonomous cars.

It's actually pretty common in Europe where drag strips are rather rare. Airports usually have one or two lanes that are straight, maintained and not in use which can be rented for a day or stuff like that.
