I think the general gaming pop is so desperate for a good, modern mmo, that you can attach the tag to just about anything and it’s going to get huge attention. Also free.

What a long, strange, weird and depressing trip since that fateful day when David Crane, Bob Whitehead, Alan Miller and Larry Kaplan walked out of Atari, Inc. to form their own videogame company ...
Maybe, but you still remove the original tumor. You sure as shit don’t just leave it there to continue metastasizing. There’s no path to wellness that doesn’t involve excision of the original source of the infection.
You mean Yggdrasil, the World Tree of Norse mythology, that JRRT riffed off?
i thought the game was about being murdered by a ghost girl...so two purchases saved today. id have held quite a grudge.
That’s...a lot of assumptions to make based off the presence of the word “ring” in a title.
So, this is literally the first article you have read about the game then?
I dunno, calling Tencent a video game company is like calling investors “game devs”
Names yes, voice lines and backstory no, most NPCs are indeed just background and use an assortment of generic NPC voices. It’s looking like Blizzard just took a bunch of them, applied the new customization options given to players and hit the randomize button.
Most surprising here is the lack of an Ubisoft apology, which means people like Yves Guillemot are have been riding this shit out and receiving zero consequences for over a year now.
You have a wild misinterpretation of the campaign events. Franklin looked up to Michael. He had every opportunity to not participate in the events of the story. He shows up to Michael’s house after Michael throws an offhand “hit me up if you wanna learn how the world really works” remark that clearly wasn’t meant in…
He also went out of his way to shit on Konami at the VGAs over Hideo Kojima. So he has a history of breaking character, but I think in this case Ubisoft and ActiBlizz paid him enough money to shut up. The real telling thing will be if they cut the mic of any award recipients that go out of their way to call out the…
Just to add, it would be nice if he did. He won't since his whole thing is to shill. He is shiller of the year.
Why would he? His job exist to shill for gaming companies.
The projectile has to do that too. Some surfaces they go straight through (like a head) some stop it, some deflect etc. Which is almost but not quite instantaneous. Going through 20 targets though that time would add up.
Huh! I didn’t realize that but it makes sense. I did wonder if it was something like the hit scan had to be recalculated from the back of each Spartan’s head or something like that.
So if they work like Halo 4 & 5 (and I think Reach) the sniper is hit scan until it hits a surface. Then then a projectile spawns and has travel time from there.
Yeah me too. It must actually slow down when going through a Spartan? Surprising attention to detail. I’m curious if the guys at the end could have gotten out of the way post shot.
That struck me too. It’s almost 2 seconds between the first and last death, but if you just shot the back guy by himself, he’d die instantly. Very weird.
Kinda surprised at the delay between each kill. I thought a sniper bullet was basically instant (if not based on hit scan); anybody know what accounts for the delay between it hitting one spartan and then hitting the next?
