Chubby where?
Chubby where?
Late last night, this morning really, I broke down. I cried for so hard and so long that I had to take my asthma medication and I scared my dog. I feel an overwhelming, obtrusive pain.
I love a good rousing debate, so my opinion is probably biased, but this doesn't sound like a trainwreck to me. This sounds like what The View should be. Women need a show where things that affect us are passionately discussed.
I hope the blurred out faces hold some clues as to which race the girls were mocking, because at this point, I'm more offended that people believe gangs=Black/Hispanic people.
I love that people that are not members of the cultures being exploited get to decide if Perry, and other artists, are wrong.
This.
More intersectionality and diversity. I would like to hear more from and about non-White women. Often, the only things about non-White women are written about celebrities or, ironically, the lack of diversity in a particular sector.
I am glad that I grew up during the 90s mostly because of the R&B. This new stuff is not R&B. It just isn't. I think the difference is that now R&B skews heavily hip-hop in sound and lyrics, when in the past it was the other way around.
I agree. This particular issue didn't completely feel race-specific though. It IS Florida and I am more than likely horribly wrong but the issue seemed to be more class or generation specific.
I get all of the implications of this law, I do, but why is it "worth pointing out" that Mary Rich is African-American? What is the implication there?
Apparently, I've been living under a rock because I completely missed this. I would say I'm surprised but that would be a laughable lie.
I commented that she doesn't look much younger than Pam Oliver. That is a reasonable comment to make on an article discussing Oliver being fired in part due to her age.
Andrews doesn't look that much younger now.
Chrissy Tiegen is gross, ignorant and obnoxious but I feel like she has 9 lives. She will say something totally inappropriate and disgusting, usually via social media, and then she is back at it again like it never happened.
I was too young for the original Color Me Beautiful phase but I recently found the newest book, Color Me Confident. They have gotten rid of the seasonal classifications and moved onto considering undertone, hair color, eye color as well as your style type and body shape.
I'm not a parent but I think a lot of parents would avoid buying the shirt for their child. If the shirt was purchased, it would probably only be worn at home.
Iggy is a talentless hack and racist. She has a long list of racist tweets (I believe another commenter posted those) and called herself a slave master in a song.
Yes, we are all wrong. No, we are not all bigots. I addressed this in my original comment. I have said plenty of things in my life that I regret but I have never spewed bigotry. It is not who I am.
I'm tired of the "everyone does/says it" argument from bigots. Yes, everyone says things they regret or hurts someone's feelings. However, everyone is not a discriminatory, vile human being that spews hate speech.
I'm so happy someone else feels this way. When I joined a gym where the women are naked while changing, instead of shuffling behind clothes or awkwardly trying to change in a wet shower stall, I was a little shocked. In a good way. Turns out my "flaws" are par for the course.
