I don’t get why stepping on the gas would make the parked car move. Did he leave it in P and put on the parking brake? Seems more likely the pooch knocked it into gear.
I had to make that choice once, and chose correctly. Whacked a raccoon as it crossed a tight 2-lane with lots of traffic both ways. But it was still rough. What my buddy and I both saw in the rear-view was haunting.

The biggest problem with all of this... well, maybe second biggest, is that you can not find the base 18" wheels on these things. As with the e46, the base wheels look timeless, amazing and perfect vs. the gaudy-ass 19's (or bigger?) The biggest problem is definitely sifting through the DCTs.
So the Corvette covers a range of prices from $50-$125k, and seems to touch about three performance levels: fast, super fast and insane. I’m not really sure how a mid engine sports car fits anywhere between these in a greatly different manner, but I really don’t pay close enough attention to all of them to say.
