It is a very European thing. Americans outside of major metro areas, but in many cases even within, are loathe to be seen on foot or bike. They know that others of like mind will immediately assume things like “can’t afford car/poor” or “on drugs” or “lost license because DUI.” Or a any number of other unsavory (often

I’d argue that you’re spot on. However, a certain other group of thinkers in this country see the allotment of public funds to improve pedestrian/cycling infrastructure as pure commie bullshit. “Screw those poors, if you aren’t driving a car, you don’t matter. And my red-blooded American ass shouldn’t have to worry

I honestly never really bullshitted people about my cars or what I’ve done in them. I’ve always felt a little guilt in telling people a story of driving a certain high speed on a certain road, knowing that the speedo was reading a little high.

I’m going to give all of my Marchesa away to the Salvation Army tomorrow.

Ah man, this made me lol. A tumbleweed.

The last time I was into RC, more than 10 years ago, I remember thinking how great nitro was for its consistency vs. electric at the time, and how it really made the most sense. In the interim, I knew lithium batteries had to be changing the game, but never looked into it.

Might this be the reason why, since installing Windows 10, my laptop keeps sending power to the USB external cooling fans and mouse that I usually leave plugged into it? I will try tonight, but I have a feeling I already tried disabling fast startup and it didn’t work.

That Kevin Estre lap, just watched it. I’ve been mostly underwhelmed by the onboard videos of hot laps in the battle for ‘Ring supremacy, but damn. I can’t believe how much time he spends on those curbs. Fearless.

I don’t get why stepping on the gas would make the parked car move. Did he leave it in P and put on the parking brake? Seems more likely the pooch knocked it into gear.

I had to make that choice once, and chose correctly. Whacked a raccoon as it crossed a tight 2-lane with lots of traffic both ways. But it was still rough. What my buddy and I both saw in the rear-view was haunting.

Did he sound angry? I’ve had people come at me for neutral to negative reviews elsewhere, but in an “OMG we want to make this right with you!” capacity. Which is also a bit unsettling.

It’s asshole. That’s who he is. An asshole.

I’d like to think Terminator 2, Aliens, Shawshank Redemption and Nothing to Lose.

When I hear about people like this... I get a desperate feeling that we are all doomed.

They’re pretty sharp. It’s the polished ones that gag me.

I totally get where Ted is coming from here. This same thing happened to the guy who does my taxes. He found me an extra $200 this year in deductions that I hadn’t even thought about. $200!!! Meanwhile, everyone wants to put him in jail forever now because it turns out he raped and murdered a few dozen people. It’s a

The biggest problem with all of this... well, maybe second biggest, is that you can not find the base 18" wheels on these things. As with the e46, the base wheels look timeless, amazing and perfect vs. the gaudy-ass 19's (or bigger?) The biggest problem is definitely sifting through the DCTs.

So the Corvette covers a range of prices from $50-$125k, and seems to touch about three performance levels: fast, super fast and insane. I’m not really sure how a mid engine sports car fits anywhere between these in a greatly different manner, but I really don’t pay close enough attention to all of them to say.

Well I guess it’s a C-pillar here, but yea.
