They don't define what maximum recommended RPMs is. If that's their warranty administration setting that number, could be some arbitrary BS well below the redline. Who knows without specifics.

There’s a big difference between taking the engine up to the rev limiter, and actual over-revving which can only really be caused by downshifting.

the engine had been red-lined multiple times

The fact that the GR Yaris and Corolla sold out almost immediately kind of proves that there is, in fact, demand for a manual transmission, turbo, awd rally hatchback.

I recently fired up a fresh save in GT5 because I felt like I owed the game a second opinion, and I did the first event in the Top Gear series where you’re racing VW Samba buses. I made the mistake of putting one wheel too many on the grass in the followthrough near the end of what felt like a 15-minute-long race (beca

I owned a 2000 GT-S from new from June 2000 to June 2020...when a deer took it out. 246,000 miles? It’s just getting warmed up, I got 382,000 from mine before the deer. These photos taken just before that, and you can see I kept it looking brand new inside and out for all that time. I replaced my clutch at 176,000 and

But if we could cut their taxes a little more, they could add 50 ft to their yacht and hire another maid, for a real win for the middle class.

I don’t have anything to add, but I wanted to comment because large, in depth articles like this one are valuable, and we won’t have more of them without sufficient “engagement.”

Thank you. You’ve saved me from having to listen to that bloviating dickbag’s voice. I appreciate you.

When he said not going to work, I figured he meant he’d kill him.

Back when I was a serious rider, one of the guys I rode with made fun of what he called “weight queens”, people who would buy titanium screws to save a milli-ounce. He always said you would save way more weight just by taking a good dump before the ride. Me, I rode the same $600 Cannondale with a $500 Spinergy

As will Toyota itself. People thinking that the eventual configurator page for this car means anything (other than a Cartmanland-style “look this is so awesome but you can’t have it!”-type smack in the face), and that you can actually order a Toyota to spec, are going to be in for a rude awakening. You’ll get whatever

Toyota dealers will let you down.

I think they way they have varied the reward on the tickets is better than it was in GT Sport, where you got a car every time. However the idea of wining specific upgrades for cars that aren’t available to buy most days, or invitations to buy cars you don’t have the credits for is a bad deal. These mileage tickets are

Did you block the intercooler grille in winter? I discovered my 2012 was prone to that going into its first winter, applied pipe insulation and haven’t had an issue since. Just take it out in March and put it back in late October or so. (Depending on your local climate, of course.)

While I’m impressed that a machine can learn/be tought the ephemera of sportsmanship, trailbraking is “not something human beings would be able to do, conventionally.”

By this logic, the 944 was never a sports car, no 911 (besides the 993 turbo) was a sports car until the 2000s, most Ferraris before the 90s are not sports cars, the S2000 is not a sports car, and the NSX is not a sports car. If you’re the kind of smoothbrain to think horsepower is what makes a car, you were never
