So good. This sums up really all garbage reality TV and why I hate it.. so succinct.

I need me some RWL high performance street tires on my car. Preferably Dunlops.

75dB!

75dB.

It’s funny you mention this. The other day at the beach, there was a Model T cruising past me along the road on one side, while a John Deere Gator was wriggling around in the sand on the other. Something about the sights and sounds of the two caused a sudden explosion of brain activity within me (rare any more.)

Jesus, man.

But the odometer one kinda IS dangerous! Imagine someone who is likely already a terrible driver (if they’re dumb enough to believe that) driving around with their hand through the wheel, finger on the ODO reset! That’s an accident waiting to happen!

Isn't this how Scientology started? Playing with fire man.

There are several Auto Zones and Advance Autos around me. I’ve been to them all a bunch of times, you know looking for stuff or whatever. If you held a gun to my head, I couldn’t tell you which ones were which.

Man, I’m relieved to see this come up here. Chrome and GM seem to be as inseparable as Mercedes Benz and leather. Nothing screams “aging or oblivious American with misguided/questionable automotive taste” like chrome. Out of place on modern cars 100% of the time.

I believe the strategy with rally cars is to limit the revs, and therefore maintain peak power at the required limit while still generating mounds of torque. So an engine that could make 450hp/torque is simply fuel cut-off at 5500 or 6000 RPM where it’s making max allowable power. But the peak torque is still there.

This. When I had a one hour commute I lived by this. Exactly as you say, sacrificed a few minutes per day for tons more sanity, safety and a little bit of fuel economy. I don’t know how I would have gotten along without making that change.

I am a huge proponent of staying the fuck out of the left lane. True story: I have only been pulled over one time - by a state trooper in New Hampshire. It was for riding in the left lane.

Yea, hard to believe she was into it at all! The Wellsboro winter rally is definitely more for the hardcore. It’s great for first time racers and people working on building experience volunteering or with a team. This year was actually the first year that spectating was even a thing there. If it’s cold out and you

We’ll covertly slide a few at lunch, but we do any heavy boozin’ back at camp. DCNR doesn’t mess around at some of those stages... carry with you nothing that you wouldn’t be happy to show a cop!

Yes! This year, I was “crew” for my buddies running their first rally. They won their class! Good times. Cold.

Lots of really neat shots. Pretty different and cool.

Really, sno drift main spectator areas at night with the fires going is about the pinnacle of Rally Good Times.

If she saw my car, it would have been even more influential when she saw how much room there was in there with the car seat buckled down in the middle ;-)

Nice! A couple things:
