Fair enough, I should've continued clarifying that there was no such University "in Sweden", as the linked-to article clearly says it's the University of Gothenburg, in Sweden. So my point still stands, no?

There's no such thing as "University of Goethe". You're thinking of Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden, which would have been made clear by, uhm, reading the article you're linking to.

Yes, but my point is that even if everything you just claimed about EA (I agree with some of it, even most of it) was true by a factor of 10, they still wouldn't qualify for the top 100 worst company in a just world. And no, I can think of many, many companies that treated their customers, the world and people in

Anyone who voted for EA should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously. Fucking children.

I don't understand the level of complete butt-hurt ignorance needed to think that EA was in any way, shape or form the worst company in America. You guys have Wall Street firms rolling in bonuses just a few years after bringing down the entire WORLD ECONOMY; oil companies literally killing people ("oh no, that wasn't

I played on the 360, and a bug sent me to the last Rannoch-mission when I clearly selected the "destroy the server"-mission. I didn't even realise until it was too late. Replayed from an earlier save, no probs saving both races.

Damnit. Clearly Kickstarter was created for the express purpose of ruining me.

That's a 1 in a 365 guess dude. You are not seeing the way that he is clearly so far advanced in his mathematical skills it might as well be magic to the rest of us - or "guessing". Oh ye of little faith.

Dude, I'll give you a break since you have the same last name as me, and the same first name as my father (dad..?), but the Wing Commander games were awesome way before they included any cinematics at all. I preferred them to X-Wing, myself.

You forgot about Gattaca. Great premise, great art direction, great story. It's also one of my mother and sisters favourite movies (though they refuse to admit it's sci-fi - like Atwood, they've confused Sci-fi with Space Opera)

Lots of young people here don't understand how great Wasteland was back in the day. You have to understand, when Fallout came out, great as it was, I saw it as a consolation prize in lieu of a proper Wasteland sequel - hey, even my nick and Avatar are from the original game, and have befor years.

Lots of people. Read the thread.

Comparing us to ants is cool, but consider this; we could already be a super-organism. Nothing says the interacting parts have to be a "hive" the way an ant-society is ordered, there is no need for a conscious decision on the part of the parts of a mind. Look at it this way: our braincells are basically that, cells,

This is the one thing about the iPhone that means I will always jailbreak it. It's good that they raised the limit, but 50MB is still nowhere near enough. Come back when it's 250MB, so I can at least get my audiobooks on the go.

It's Sweden. His employees won't get kidnapped. I can find out what everyone in my neighbourhood (or any neighbourhood) earn with a single web-search. It's freely available information here, it's supposed to encourage wage equality - employers can't tell fibs toan employee about what everyone else in the same position

Hey Gunflame, Sweden isn't exactly Colombia. Local Newspapers here regularly publish earning tables, and I can find out what my neighbour earns in a 1-minute web-search. It's supposed to strengthen labour power, by ensuring there won't be huge pay disparities for two people doing the same job, if they're doing it

Now playing

Totally agree with parts of the Beast article, but only about the marketing part. I just saw the fan-made trailer, cobbled together from bits of the official attrocities, and now... I kinda want to go see it.

He already did (at least someone did). The original has been available as a free-ware download from various sites for year. I know it used to be on those discs that came with PC Magazines all the time. I'm not completely certain what's happened now that Fargo has reacquired the rights to the brand, though....

WASTELAND!!!

I will seriously be there and spending some serious cash.
