Anyone else not really give a shit about GoT anymore?
If it’s just a rehash of the ‘60s show updated to the modern day, like the awful UPN version from 2002, count me out.
So . . . the people who voted in her district voted for her to represent them? Not sure what your point is. And by “complete idiot,” do you mean “articulate young progressive who promotes actual solutions to the working class, which she is a part of, who also scares the fuck out of ignorant, entitled white men because…
There was a great show that explored this quite well starring Taye Diggs called Day Break. It got cancelled halfway through, but the rest of the series was made available so we could see the conclusion. If it had succeeded I think it could’ve been a good premise for new characters each season to explore the phenomenon…
No, it’s just that when you call it a list of books “you need to put on your radar,” I would expect some form of critical review. It’s really just a list of every semi-major genre book coming out. I preferred when they told me what they thought was good, not just a list of everything available.
They’re not trying to edumacate anyone. This is the new Gizmodo Media, where they have to hit you over the head with all the racism, sexism, etc., so that you don’t forget, and in order to promote their socio-political agenda (which I align with, but don’t need to be constantly be reminded of to remember it).
Great. How about you finish the series instead.
I loved those crows when I was a kid. I was born in the sixties in the rare, truly colorblind house. I didn’t even know they were some racial thing till my teens. I just thought they seemed smarter and more sarcastically funny than everyone else.
We’re not getting the end of this series in book form. Considering how awful the last two volumes were, that might be just fine.
I like his writing, but I’ve always gotten the feeling that he was an asshole in person.
In a weird way I hope being lapped by the show gives him the freedom to do whatever the fuck he wants.
“And why “The Man in the High Castle” needs multiple seasons to tell the story of what was closer to a novella-sized book at publication?”
What, it’s not like writing is her profession, or anything.
This was heartbreaking, jarring, and brand new. The next day everyone was in morning for gentle giant Hodor
“mourning”
I’m allowed to be bitter. But fuck you too while im at it.
There’s no way to track nationwide sales of comic books, so we don’t know exactly how much of the circulation has turned into readership.
I'm probably in the very small minority here, but I am completely over waiting for this book. I think the show has answered most of the non red herring answers sufficiently, and I don't know that I can put myself through 1200 pages to figure out whatever answers George is hiding in there.
Almost none, most of the original readers of the series have long since past away.
