Right, the article is misleading because it implies these murders are taking place is some bucolic pastoral state materially distinct from Chicago (and also New York and LA), that is not the case.

Yeah but the places in Missouri where people are getting murdered are poor urban neighborhoods in large diverse cities. They are neither geographically nor sociologically distant from where people are murdered in Chicago.

Are you aware the Chicago is also in Middle America? Like you know it’s one state over from Missouri... Missouri and Illinois actually share very long border. And of course there are two large cities in Missouri. Sort of like if Baltimore and DC were both in Maryland...

I will say that while black people are still being pulled over disproportionately and too much. The number of tickets has been drastically reduced so the total number of black people being subjected to these encounters much lower.
