I mean... I don’t know. I think with many movie genres it’s clear they are not based upon reality, action, sci-fi, fantasy cartoons... It’s mostly just drama and romantic comedies that more or less conform to reality and merely seem represent some element of life which one has merely not had personal experience with.

I don’t know how old offset is but... have you ever seen a romantic comedy? (well I just looked it up he’s 27) When I was not much younger than him I thought romantic comedies were real and that the behaviors demonstrated in them were indicative of how humans should behave in those situations.
