I disagree. Never have I ever used the term plus-sized to refer to a person’s clothes.

I understand that is the origin of the term. But when people say a person is “plus-sized” is it really their clothes they are referring to in the common usage of the term?

Well yes, but I mean normal-normal. Not new-normal because we’re now all over weight.

Or to put it another way, I always interpreted plus-sizedness to be a function of body fat % rather than merely over all body size. So for example Stefanie Dolson, large woman but not plus-sized in the common usage of the word. 

Well first of all they’re not the same. Someone considered thin in hollywood can be considered large in the fashion industry.

Second, Mo’Nique and Queen Latifa are not the same size. I think Queen Latifa is pretty normal sized.
