CCTV footage is always your best bet if you want to see good dirt on someone.

On some printers, if you dig around in the properties there is a place to indicate black ink only for greyscale printing. Otherwise it uses the colors to make the shades of grey. Not sure how much help this is, but if you can't find that setting for your printer at least you know why it won't work.
