the droid frickin' charge... they'll be doing even samsung a favor for banning that one.

amen. here's to someone finally getting the impetus to think outside the box, and disrupt the market in a whole new way. touchscreen smartphones are getting too passé anyways.

just brainstormin' dude, dont worry about it.

not noticeably no, i was just thinking out loud hehe, that certain minor compromises will have to be made, when components share the same space, so for example, a higher definition stand-alone digitizer, would be measurably better than one that exists in the same plane as other components and couldn't possibly have

not quite, i had slide phones before, they dont make that satisfying whipping arc motion through the air.

i just love pressing the little button on the side which would release the spring loaded flip, very satisfying, and looked pretty badass back in those days.

The Ericcson T28... it was frickin stylish, but difficult as hell to use.

Algorithms are pretty complex stuff, game theory has been used to gauge unpredictable behavior since the 70s, if anything an algorithm would help them tackle the issue at a larger and more efficient scale and not just on an individual case by case basis (which would be ridiculous in its own right "understanding women

new kindles all around! cheap kindles! lighted kindles! tablets, readers! Get 'em while they're hot!

well no, i think the blue tint issue is with the bigger phones as well. But i think it's worse in the older phones, but because they've improved the screen tech gradually, it's less noticeable on newer screens. Like for e.g. The screen on the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S3 are the exact same resolution and exact same

Well not EVERY android phone, Samsung mostly, the blue tint is noticeable as well as grainy screen at low brightness levels, but it's not a big issue to most consumers. the One X on the other hand has a "perfect" SLCD2 screen. OLEDs have their own pro's though, the contrast ratio is thousands of times greater than

interesting point. We'll have to wait for the inevitable drop tests to find out :)

...probably no change, or at most it will make it slightly worse, especially if the digitizer has to share the same space with other components.

Apple isn't too fond of OLED, and sammy keeps the (relatively) good stuff for itself.

If the government had increased NASA's funding they could've sprung for the better, more expensive German model wind sensor, the one with extra cup holders :D

some part did fail though, i think it was the wind sensor or something. But we can let that slide, since expecting nothing to fail after you drop a freaking dune buggy onto ANOTHER PLANET is expecting a little too much.

i apologize

my pleasure.

it isn't when you're arguing against an injunction. They are not using "we havent sold many" as an argument against the infringement, only the injunction. Since a preliminary injunction is granted as relief to protect the plaintiff from irrecoverable/irreparable damages if the device continues to be sold.
