so say we all

aside from a few countries in the EU, regular sized prepaid sims are about a 1000 percent more ubiquitous and readily available than their micro sim counterparts, even more when you want a temp or burner sim. If we were to contain ourselves to the US, the 4S does not support anything beyond EDGE on T-mobile, so while

Regular GSM + International Roaming capabilities, trounce carrier and specific phone model for me. I would choose a dumbphone over an iPhone 6, only because it works on t-mobile (the only reliable service provider in my area + the greatest savings) and because when i travel overseas, which i do a lot, i can pop a

i agree, im not arguing with how apple is trying its case, i'm questioning the use of the first graphic exclusively as an argument, because it is inherently oversimplistic and ignores many other facts.

sony vaio's have used Mg-alloy chassis for a while, it's pretty good.

you are correct, but there are physical design patents as well.

you have got to relax. I'm just talking about this specific graphic. and yes, this graphic's purpose is not to address functionality, only the look of the device.

all smartphones eventually changed, im just saying that the graphic is an oversimplification of a complicated evolution. It shows a specific type of samsung phones before (even though there are many other models) and a specific type after (even though samsung is still making many other form factors). The graphic does

Whether Mueller has bias one way or the other, really makes no difference in this story.

"trade dress" issues are overall look of the product, not utility or function patents. Those are a separate part of the case, and when people use that BS before and after slide, they dont say these devices function the same, they say they "look" the same.

you mean like florida?

i dont want to choke their finances, dude. Relax... this isn't a war.

thank you for pointing out how often I comment on a site i have been a member of for 6 years. Good job!

please stop regurgitating memes. There are other pictures out there as well. Just because you linked to an Apple legal slide, doesnt mean that it is gospel; there are other images to, like this one;

i use ad-block. :)

not so much, tech...mostly UI and design issues, which they havent been using for a couple years now, which is why this is mostly focussed on the original galaxy s variants. The 'tech' samsung uses in their phones is mostly their own, or licensed from other component makers, i dont think apple owns any of it.

I'll be very surprised if samsung pays a single cent, considering they'll tie a negative verdict up in appeals for the next 3 years, meanwhile consumers will say; "is samsung's phone THAT similar to an iPhone that they sued over it? wow, maybe i should buy a samsung phone, because im a consumer and 99.99% of the time

"blatant" and "jealousy" must be gizmodos two most favourite words, because i havent seen such hyperbole since the 90's british tabloids.

well unless one has a learning disability i think it's not too hard to figure out that combined the galaxy s2 units outsell the prevail by almost 2 mil units. If the argument is that each gs2 variant on each carrier is considered an entirely separate entity in this mythical vacuum... then yes, the prevail is the most

i think these figures are just for the US market. Worldwide Samsung sold 45 million smartphones in the first quarter of 2012.
