A Troy Ounce is slightly larger than an ounce. It’s 31.1 grams. 

This is horrifying. I work in aerospace for one of those greedy, profit-driven meat grinder corporations and yet, if anyone were to display this attitude, even verbally, we’d dox that person and have them fired in a second.

At some point, you have to stop blaming this shit on the beancounters after seeing email after email of Boeing engineers showing nothing but contempt for regulators and pilots alike. 

They are correct, those communications do not reflect the company that they are and you shouldn’t judge the entire company based on what a few people in it did.

They jumped on the MAX bandwagon to combat Airbus and their NEO options. Boeing was terrified of losing market share in the single-aisle market and a new airframe would’ve taken years to develop, test, and put into service whereas an “upgrade” would skip many of the pesky rules and regulations.

Boomers put that stuff in emails.

A hint you might have designed a horrible plane : special training is required to combat the automatic, self-destruct feature.

Maybe because Renault’s plan for them has always been don’t invest, cut costs, and bleed every last bit of market value from a company that use to have good products. 

Neutral: The Ghosn movie would probably be excllent. The real question is: Who plays Carlos Ghosn? My money is on Oliver Platt but Ghosn probably expects it to be Brad Pitt or something.
