The local monopolies are more of an issue than the "net neutrality" issue which has been a bogeyman for years. There should be competition in all markets. As far as "net neutrality" is concerned... I don't care. Nothing has happened to show that this is a real issue. I still pay $35/mo for internet and another $15…

I hate to break it to you, but there are people that live very functional lives without internet. This is "geek think". Life is entirely livable without internet.

You're absolutely correct. There is no "problem" that is being solved by net neutrality. I pay $35/mo in lieu of a cable bill and a home phone. My internet connection gives me all I need. The net neutrality issue has been a bogeyman for at least 10 years now and nothing has happened yet.

Well I have to say that most predictive text and suggestion algorithms are actually way off and still piss poor. They stink and they certainly don't dominate MY world!
