I don't think I would say that scene is gratuitous - it really establishes how much they are attracted to each other, and how much they might risk as a result.

Glow also had a character have an abortion, and of course Grey’s Anatomy had a pretty bold/polarising one a few years back

Every second that dog was on film I was terrified it would die. The most tense part of the whole film.

I always think Pine is the most underrated of the Chrises

Brit here! We covered Rosa Parks at school - for example I knew that she wasn’t tired when she refused to stand from my history lessons. I’d say most British secondary schools did the civil rights movement, covering Rosa Parks in the process.

This film is out on Netflix in the UK already, so I managed to finally see it after wanting to see it in the cinema but not being close enough to a major city to catch the limited release. Mulubwa was incredible; she doesn’t say much, but she is incredibly expressive. She is heartbreaking in some moments.

Tbh, not really. London is very different from the rest of the UK in that it’s so wealthy, so it makes sense that it needs a higher minimum, and everyone just sort of accepts that. It’s helps that it’s not just the minimum wage either - if you go to uni in London, you get a bigger grant/loan to pay for accommodation,

That's sort of the same, but our minimum wage doesn't change county to county, and Local Authorities can't set their own minimum. It's all decided at a national (rather than local/federal) level which I think works better as you have a bigger collective interest in everyone getting a better living wage as it affects

In the UK we have a different minimum wage in London to the rest of the country because it is more affluent. It's not a perfect solution, but it recognises that issue.

If you're on minimum wage and tipping is the only way you can afford health insurance and, you know, food, then the minimum wage is too low.

I actually never minded Megan, but I realise I’m in the minority. Henry was also an excellent addition to the cast. I liked how Mad Men didn’t try to make new characters immediately likeable, you just had to stick with it and see how they turned out.

I’ve been at my parents, and so have been watching old Lewis episodes. It’s such a chill show, it’s like watching a warm, cosy blanket

I want to binge the whole show again, but don't know if I can do that to myself. That finale really was heartbreaking but in such an unexpected way.

Agreed. In the first two Ethan Hunt was not someone you’d want to spend a lot of time with. He is at least very likable in MI3.

So many films this week. First off, I went to see Mission: Impossible Fallout again, but this time in IMAX. I have to say, I’ve seen two films in IMAX now and I don’t get the hype. I’m not a fan of 3D glasses and even once I’ve adjusted to them I can’t see a massive difference in the picture, or the sound for that

I actually can’t wait for Jason Statham vs A Giant Shark.

I'm going to rewatch it this week in IMAX - I think it deserves such treatment

MI Fallout, and it was glorious. While I think the first half of Rogue Nation was stronger, the final act of Fallout was amazing. And Rebecca Ferguson is so damn carasmatic. Every scene she’s in she steals.

Agreed. Think I'll try and see it again at an IMAX - I think it'll be worth it
