Vernon has that Katherine Hepburn quality that no matter who else is on screen/stage, you can't take your eyes off her

The Incredibles 2 came out in Britain last week so went to see that. Really enjoyed it! Had a bit of a different feel from the last one, but very funny and a sequel that was ‘worth it’.

Love, love, love Graham Norton. Being British I know I’m biased, but I can watch his best episodes over and over again. He’s just the right level of light sarcasm

The AV Club?

And Mail Robot. I know it was a long shot but...

They definitely took more risks with the comedy nominations.

Was actually wondering when this became a sport anthem when I was watching the team’s walk on for one of the group stages matches and it was playing. An actual Well Done Internet moment, thanks

Okay, maybe I’m over thinking this, but is the Ruth-Sam thing meant to be another look at sexual harassment? I’m not saying Sam is sexually harassing Ruth, but as LaToya said Ruth looks terrified that she’s going to be punished for not kissing Sam. So is this a carry on from when the creepy producer was trying to

Im torn on the whole Ruth-Sam thing. On the one hand they have great chemistry. On the other... I just don’t want them to get together? It was nice seeing a functional male-female friendship on TV

You have to think that Debbie has been in the situation Ruth was in at least a few times, and that may be why she reacted so strongly. When she says how Ruth should have diffused the situation - “I have a fiancé”, etc. - she doesn’t even need to think about it, it’s just common sense to her. She shouldn’t have said

Well, who isn’t in love with cricket?

I also don’t hold with the opinion that A Wrinkle in Time was a disaster. I thought it was a solid children’s film that looked stunning. At least it was trying for something, whereas Jurassic World was just so run of the mill.

Kimmy’s face just before that was hilarious

I have a beat was so catchy and tone deaf, it was actually perfect

I did a literal spit take when Titus showed up

It wasn’t the 70mm version unfortunately, but it was amazing nonetheless! I’m glad I saw it at then cinema though, I think it would have lost something to see it on a laptop

After the finale this week I have been going back to old The Americans episodes. There are so many parallels between the first five seasons that were referenced in the last that I had completely missed. I loved this show, and I’m sad it’s gone.

I keep thinking about about that garage scene and there’s just so much to unpack.

Philip: It was all so pointless, what even is a country.

I kept waiting for Martha to jump out and attack Philip, Nately’s whore-style.
