I tend to agree with you that we as a nation are far more beholden to Israel and Saudia Arabia then Russia, which I suspect is just a shiny object for the MSM to dangle for the American public so they don’t look at corporate profits over healthcare and working wages, war crimes, and so forth.
And I reject, on principle, the assertion that one must support Assange if they claim to support a free and open press; because I do not operate from nor share the assumption that Assange is a “journalist” or a “whistleblower,” I cannot see this as an attack on the press.
