I do believe that the American companies’ best designers are currently located in China.  Take any number of new Fords and Lincolns currently being sold or revealed in China and they are ahead of where Ford design is in North America.  This Buick also looks better than any number of new GM designs in NA.

I get that about driving 300 miles in a sitting.  I used to drive 300 miles plus to get from where I lived to where my mom lived.  I got so sleepy at the halfway mark that I was a danger on the road.  Yet there were those times that I pushed on, not safe.

Couldn’t care less about it being 4 x 4.  For a truck this age it just has to be able to handle the car show circuit.

I’m surprised that so many agreed with my No Dice analysis.  For me it is the tainted spots on the roof of the cab that was enough to say no thanks.  At this price I expect to purchase one whose body will last my lifetime, and not one that is just barely keeping alive today.

If this was a manual, I’d say Great price, but this is an automatic.  When I owned my 91 Tercel, I used to get an early 80's automatic Tercel as the service loaner.  It was horrible as it could barely get up to 100 kph.  No Dice on this automatic.

I guess if the hybrid is set up where the engine is a generator for the battery, then perhaps a hybrid could be tossable.

Unless you’re someone who doesn’t do any of the maintenance themselves.  If you’re like myself, but you don’t read or watch car content, you wouldn’t know anything at all about timing chain guides.

Looks like the garage kept the paint from baking in the sun.

How I answer this one depends a lot on how I feel.  Right now I have the flu so it’s ND.  But at least the seller cleaned the interior and took decent interior pictures.

I don’t think that Hybrid is the answer for Miata.  People either love the Miata for its rev. happy engine or for its handling.  Hybrid would not be good for either.  Hence a jump from its current ICE to a total EV might be the way to go.

More context required? “P” word?

Anyone else surprised that the young fellow survived the encounter?

Pizza delivery cars should at least be hybrids for the lengthy time they spend idling.   EV’s should be perfect in dense cities.

I can’t decide. They were fine cars after their 1977 introduction and they remained around until the early 1990's.  I drove one of its cousins during my teen years and loved driving it.  If it looked like the picture flyingstitch posted I’d be on it right now. As it is the interior is too meh for me to consider it.

Except you do need electricity when those power sources aren’t generating anywhere near peak.

I’m excited about the new Prius which is something I never expected.  I also love the new Ioniq6; it is simply amazing.

It makes a difference where you live.  I would certainly buy another PHEV, but couldn’t see a solely EV at this time.

Sadly, you may be correct!

I on the other hand find the Escape the most desirable within its competitive class.  But I also see some hope for the ending of the crossover craze.  Perhaps Ford will once more build cars!

Neutral:  You’d better vote or else the MAGA Republicans are going to steal the Republic from under you.
