If they want a cross country tourer then in my view that automatically eliminates Electrics.  Someone that doesn’t like tech is not going to want to look for  charging stations everywhere along the way.  Get a Lincoln Aviator.

If only Toyota kept their cars up to date like Hyundai.   The Elantra is a much more impressive car than the Corolla.

A lot of their current customers use a different infrastructure than the current mass market.  Truckers tend to use dedicated truck stops, and it would be fairly easy to bring hydrogen supplies to those.  Farmers get their fuel delivered and once again hydrogen would be deliverable.  I’m not sure this is the way that…

I don’t get the logic of this at all.  Currently the Sonata is available as a hybrid; it could well have a plug-in-hybrid version next year.   This would be a great transitional vehicle to an all electric sedan later.
