I had an 80 Zephyr Z7 coupe with the split vinyl roof with the 6 cylinder auto. It was the most gutless vehicle I’ve ever owned but I loved it. It was also the most gorgeous metallic blue with white vinyl.  If I saw one like it I’d go deep into debt to buy it.

I bought a brand new 2 1/2 years old Fusion this past summer.  It was a 2019 Titanium Energi Plug-in Hybrid and it only had 1500 km’s on it (1000 miles).  It had been owned by Ford and was used to train technicians on their plug-in hybrid models.  I love it.

There is no one around that remembers any of the quality issues of the original Airflow.  Most of us who are in the target range of buyers (baby boomers and younger) only remember the Airflow as a design ahead of its time as seen in car magazines and museums.

Are there really that many people who track their daily driver?  I have driven for 40 years plus and I’ve never yet taken my vehicle to a track.   I suspect most people are in the same boat.  

David, this article reminded me of the crazy story Don Sherman wrote for Car and Driver in the 80's after they took 4 “sport sedans” into Mexico and hit a cow among numerous adventures. Your adventures are epic as theirs were.
