It hurts. But then you work and you fix it and it feels great.

Being an asshole is worse.
“And just look at how many ‘friends’ I have!”
Is there anything more that can really be said about Trump? He’s a lazy, stupid con man who has gotten farther on pure bluster than anyone ever should have. He’s clearly owned by outside agents and that’s the only thing he’s desperate to keep secret. There is no bottom to how low he will happily go either in pursuit…
Managed to grab a slide from the last convention.
Hey.. there are many people who have no real way to value themselves outside of the context of facebook... they need reassurance that everything they do is validated by their peers. (i’m a grey here or most places...so i don’t give two fucks who validates me). I have far too much on my plate to deal with facebook.…
I love how these fucking Billy Bobs seem to think that “freedom of speech” means “freedom to be as big a dipshit as possible.”
“Yeah, a lot of this Facebook stuff is creepy, but they’re not doing it on my Facebook.”
I did a while ago and it feels better than when i quit smoking cigarettes.
Currently it’s not sufficient to blame Facebook for their ongoing misdeeds.
How about more old telephone cords for power cables?
Noteably Catholics and Quakers have been fairly universally, staunch supporters the abolition of slavery.
Just say No to Facebook.
I think asking a bunch of 9 and 10-year-olds to unpack the rationale of 17th-19th century slaveowners and the governments that permitted the practice is the dumbest fucking thing I’ve seen today. School principal Jim Van Dellen admitted the assignment was “out of line” in a letter to parents, explaining that the assignment was intended to “spark debate”.
Dude I have battled addiction my entire adult life. Sometimes I am good, sometimes not so much. I am having a “not so much” time right now myself.
Dude, you need to talk to someone. If you don’t do something, you’re going to end up in jail at a minimum.
It’s not all on you. It sounds like you might be struggling with a good deal of shame and fear around drinking, and part of why AA works is that no one judges you—we’ve all been there, done that, and usually much worse. If you feel like you can’t not drink (even after not drinking for extended periods) I’d encourage…
This sounds like a biological/cognitive psychological issue. There are many other options besides AA, if your not religious don’t feed into that bullshit. I’d recommend seeing a psychiatrist and if you need a support group there are plenty around besides AA. They give you chips and shit? It’s just fucking weird.
There are lots of alternatives to AA including SMART recovery (which is not god-based), the Sinclair Method (a friend has had GREAT success), and a variety of medications like naltrexone.
